Updated: 25 September 2026
If you are looking for “Herbalife Tea” in South Africa, the product you are probably looking for is Herbalife Instant Herbal Beverage with Tea Extracts.
It is available in different flavours and in both 51 g and 102 g formats, can be served hot or iced, and contains 87.5 mg of caffeine per serving.
The South African range also now includes a new option: Mango Dragon Fruit 102 g.
So, which flavour and size should you choose? And what else can you make with it besides a simple cup of tea?
Herbalife Tea flavours and sizes
The current HerbalNutriStore range includes:
| Format | Flavours | Approx. servings | Current price* |
|---|---|---|---|
| 51 g | Original, Lemon, Raspberry, Peach | 30 | R374 |
| 102 g | Original | 60 | R639 |
| 102 g | Mango Dragon Fruit | 60 | R639 |
*HerbalNutriStore prices checked in September 2026 and subject to change.
At current prices, that works out to approximately R12.47 per serving for the 51 g format and R10.65 per serving for the 102 g format.
The smaller canister therefore gives you more flavour choice, while the 102 g option provides twice as many approximate servings and a lower current cost per serving.
New: Mango Dragon Fruit 102 g
The latest addition to the HerbalNutriStore Instant Herbal Beverage range is Mango Dragon Fruit Flavoured 102 g.
It comes in the larger format with approximately 60 servings and retains the same simple preparation: half a teaspoon mixed with hot or cold water.
The tropical flavour also makes it particularly suited to iced drinks — and gives us a good excuse to go a little further than the standard preparation later in this guide.
51 g vs 102 g: what is the difference?
The main differences are canister size, available flavours and cost per serving.
Choose the 51 g format if you want access to Original, Lemon, Raspberry or Peach, or if you simply prefer a smaller canister.
The 102 g format provides approximately 60 servings and is currently available in Original and Mango Dragon Fruit.
Neither format is automatically the “right” one: it depends mainly on the flavour you want and how frequently you use the product.
How much caffeine is in Herbalife Tea?
One serving of Instant Herbal Beverage contains 87.5 mg of caffeine.
A standard serving is approximately ½ teaspoon (1.7 g) mixed with 200–240 ml of hot or cold water.
Because it contains caffeine, it is also worth considering coffee, energy drinks and other caffeinated products consumed during the same day.
Instant Herbal Beverage is not recommended for children under 12 years of age, pregnant or lactating women, or people who are sensitive to caffeine.
Hot or iced?
One of the advantages of Instant Herbal Beverage is that it works both ways.
For a traditional drink, simply mix it with hot water.
For an iced version, dissolve the powder, add cold water and plenty of ice. Fresh lemon, lime, berries or sliced fruit can also be used to customise the drink without changing the basic preparation.
And if you want something a little more interesting, you can use the Tea as the base for a Loaded Iced Tea.
How to Make a Mango Dragon Fruit Loaded Iced Tea
A Loaded Tea combines Instant Herbal Beverage with other drink products to create a larger, flavoured iced drink.
For our South African version, we can combine the new Mango Dragon Fruit Tea with regular LiftOff Lemon-Lime and Herbal Aloe Concentrate Mango.
HerbalNutriStore serving idea: this is our own combination using Herbalife products, rather than an official Herbalife recipe.
Mango Dragon Fruit Loaded Tea
You will need:
- ½ teaspoon (1.7 g) Instant Herbal Beverage Mango Dragon Fruit
- 1 LiftOff Lemon-Lime tablet
- approximately 15 ml Herbal Aloe Concentrate Mango
- about 50 ml warm water
- cold water
- plenty of ice
- optional fresh lemon or lime
Method: dissolve the Instant Herbal Beverage in the warm water. Add the LiftOff tablet and allow it to dissolve completely. Fill a tall glass with ice, add the Aloe Mango, pour in the tea mixture and top up with cold water. Finish with fresh lemon or lime if desired.
The combination brings together the tropical Mango Dragon Fruit flavour, Mango Aloe and the citrus notes of LiftOff in one iced drink.
How much caffeine is in the Loaded Tea?
Instant Herbal Beverage provides 87.5 mg of caffeine per serving, while one regular LiftOff tablet provides 75 mg.
Together, this recipe therefore contains approximately 162.5 mg of caffeine.
That is considerably more than Instant Herbal Beverage on its own, so total daily caffeine intake should be taken into account.
We deliberately use regular LiftOff rather than LiftOff Max in this recipe. LiftOff Max contains substantially more caffeine per serving and is not needed for this combination.
