Herbalife Formula 1 in South Africa: Flavours, Sizes & How to Choose
Share
Herbalife Formula 1 is one of the best-known products in the Herbalife range and is available in several flavours and formats in South Africa. If you're choosing Formula 1 for the first time — or deciding between different options — the useful questions are simple: which flavour do you prefer, which format suits your routine, and how do you want to prepare it?
This guide gives you a practical overview of the Formula 1 range available in South Africa, without turning it into a product label or a price list.
What is Herbalife Formula 1?
Formula 1 is a meal-replacement shake mix designed to be prepared as part of a balanced eating plan. Depending on the specific flavour and format, the South African range includes standard Formula 1 options, larger canisters and a Free From variant.
For exact nutritional information, ingredients and preparation instructions, always refer to the product label of the flavour you are using.
Which Formula 1 flavours are available in South Africa?
HerbalNutriStore currently lists a broad selection of Formula 1 flavours, including:
- Vanilla Cream
- Cookie Crunch
- Strawberry Delight
- Mint Chocolate
- Café Latte
- Banana Cream
- Smooth Chocolate
- Raspberry & White Chocolate Free From
Limited-edition flavours may also appear from time to time. Availability can change, so the live product page is the best place to see what can currently be ordered.
Which Formula 1 format should you choose?
For most customers, the choice comes down to three practical factors: flavour preference, how often you use Formula 1, and whether you need a Free From option.
Standard canisters are the best starting point if you want access to the widest range of flavours or if you like rotating between different options.
The larger Vanilla Cream format can make more sense if Vanilla Cream is already your preferred flavour and you use Formula 1 regularly.
Raspberry & White Chocolate Free From is the option to look at if you specifically want the Free From Formula 1 variant. Always check the product label for the exact allergen and preparation information relevant to that version.
How do you prepare Formula 1?
Formula 1 is designed to be mixed into a shake. The exact preparation depends on the specific product version, so follow the directions printed on the label.
In the standard South African range, a serving is commonly measured at around 26 g. The scoop is not included with the canister, so it is important to measure the serving according to the product instructions rather than assuming a scoop size.
You can keep the preparation simple or customise the shake with ingredients such as fruit, depending on your preferences and the directions for your product.
Can Formula 1 be combined with Protein Drink Mix?
Yes. Protein Drink Mix is often paired with Formula 1 when customers want a different shake preparation or additional protein within the recommended directions for use.
The exact combination and quantities should follow the instructions on the relevant product labels. If you're unsure which version suits you, you can contact us before ordering.
What about Tea, Aloe and Breakfast Kits?
Formula 1 is also commonly purchased together with other Herbalife products rather than on its own. At HerbalNutriStore, this is why the Breakfast Kit range starts with Formula 1 and can then add products such as:
- Instant Herbal Beverage
- Herbal Aloe Concentrate Drink
- Protein Drink Mix
- Multifibre
If you already know you want more than Formula 1 alone, the Packs & Programs section can be a simpler way to compare the available combinations. You can also read our Herbalife Packs vs Individual Products guide if you're deciding whether a bundle makes sense for you.
Can you buy Formula 1 on its own?
Yes. You do not need to buy a complete programme or bundle. If Formula 1 is the only product you need, you can simply order it individually.
For customers who use it regularly, HerbalNutriStore also offers multi-canister options such as 2× Formula 1 and 3× Formula 1.
Which Formula 1 should you start with?
If you're unsure, start with the format that matches your actual habits rather than choosing the largest option automatically.
- Choose a standard flavour if you want the widest choice.
- Choose Vanilla Cream if you prefer a neutral flavour that is easy to customise.
- Consider the larger Vanilla Cream canister if you already use Formula 1 regularly.
- Look at the Free From variant if that format is specifically relevant to you.
